The fact that it is within an industry labelled with the expectation of huge growth over the next five years only adds to the excitement of the opportunity. A sector that is expected to generate huge revenues, it is a salespersons oyster where the possibilities are endless.

You will be joining an award winning company within the cloud computing market. Operating for some 15 years, it is a company that has produced a sense of loyalty, not just in its staff but its customers too. In a culture packed with camaraderie and energy, you will be joining a team that thrives on the signing of a deal and it is indeed a market in which the deals are waiting to be signed.
Role:
As Business Development Manager, your primary focus will be to win new business throughout the Birmingham and South Midlands region. Home based and flexible office location. You will be selling managed services and infrastructure for the cloud, including but not limited to e-mail, OCS, telephony, hosting, SaaS and PaaS solutions. Selling to the mid-tier market, you will traditionally come across companies with 2000-3000 seats in the Professional Services, Digital Media and Retail verticals. Deals range from GBP45k to GBP1.2m and you will have a GBP2m first year target, broken down by quarter. What is unique about the companys offering is that it is sold on a per user, per month basis, enabling it to stand out from the crowd. With big accelerators for over achievement, hitting target is a possibility with top earners achieving three times their quarterly target.
Person:
Given that the technology around services is so varied, the company comes across many competitors and often. However, experience with the likes of Savvis, 2e2 and Phoenix would be a distinct advantage. You will have a track record in hosting, IT services and outsourcing, as well as the ability to carry out the full managed services sell and cloud sell. Although it does take time to understand the companys offering, training will be provided and so sales ability will be key. You will be full of dynamism and flair with the tenacity to succeed in this rapidly growing market.
