The cloud computing market has grown by over 20% a year through the recession, while traditional software is growing a 6.2%, with all the leading analysts saying this growth is set to continue at an even higher rate over the next 5 years. The opportunity to earn between GBP300-500k has now been firmly established in this sector and is this set to continue for at least another 5 years. The market is growing, the market is maturing and the market is constantly changing which makes the cloud computing arena one of the most exciting, dynamic and financially rewarding places to work in over the next 5 years in the software industry.

This is a world leading cloud computing vendor and winner of many enviable industry awards with an impressive five year growth that is pushing 1000%. They are looking to build a high performance culture in the UK to match the culture of their Silicon Valley HQ. Their product portfolio matches the needs of their target market exactly saving clients time, increasing revenue generation and by lowering the cost per sale.
Role:
Selling a complete portfolio of business software applications, e-commerce (website and content, web store and shopping cart, order management, web marketing, B2B marketing), CRM (sales force and marketing automation, order management, customer service and support, incentive compensation management and analytics with mobile/wireless access), financial, accounting and ERP (financial management, inventory management, order and billing management, shipping and fulfilment, human capital management, service resource planning, financial analytics and reporting). This is a business level sale and involves dealing with Sales Management, Marketing Management, Ecommerce Management, and Warehouse Management as well as MDs, FDs, HR Management and CEOs. Target markets include Manufacturing, Wholesales/Distribution, Retail Leisure, Travel Media, Finance Banking, Telco Utilities and Business Services. Order values range from $200-300k up to $1M+ and the annual sales target is relatively low for the commission on offer making the accelerators/kickers associated with over target performance very achievable.
Person:
An experienced application or business software sales person either traditional software/technology solutions or delivered via the cloud (SaaS) and could either come from a vendor or reseller background. Could come from CRM, CEM, ERP, Financial, E-Commerce, BI (business intelligence), collaboration software, Talent Management Software or any other business application software. It is important that this person has sold to business level contacts not technical contacts as this is a business sale not an infrastructure sale and therefore requires someone who understands the needs and pains. A proven over achiever who is highly motivated by the challenge of generating new business from a standing start without the need to rely on existing accounts, renewals or leads that have been handed down. The ability to manage the whole sales process from identifying target accounts then identifying the relevant business heads, establishing a need and creating a compelling value proposition then articulating this to the relevant business heads bringing the deal to closure.
