Application Acceleration Specialist

Opportunity:
The adoption of cloud-based computing and applications promises to improve the agility, efficiency, and cost effectiveness of IT operations required to provision, scale, and deliver applications to the enterprise. According to a recent Infonetics report, the Network security appliance and software revenue increased 13% worldwide between 3Q09 and 4Q09, totalling $1.4 billion and virtually all network security vendors posted revenue growth in 4Q09, with the bump up in the market driven by market leaders Cisco (up 18% from 3Q09) and Check Point (up 22%). The research predicts that the network security appliance and software market will grow to $6.4 billion in 2014.

Role:
This role will be acting as an overlay sales specialist selling into FTSE 100 accounts; HSBC, AXA, Lloyds TSB, ING, BP, BA, BT, GlaxoSmithKline, Prudential, Sainsburys, Vodafone, Tesco and Serco. You will be dealing at an IT director level and networking within the accounts to ensure maximum penetration. You will be able to effectively work with your peers to uncover new opportunities whilst also building a stand alone business unit.

Person:
You will be a specialist in WAN optimization or Application Acceleration having worked around technology from RiverBed, Juniper, Cisco, BlueCoat, Expand, Ipanema or Barracuda. You will be a tenacious, professional, talented, strategic and process driven sales over achiever who will compliment the existing team and add value to the current up scale of sales talent. This is an overlay sales role but it will require you to open new relationships and leverage existing company contacts.
